The cleaning division of ROOTS MultiClean, Ltd. (RMCL) was founded in 1992 as a collaborative project with Germany’s Hako-Werke Gmbh organization. The mission of the company’s Founder & Chairman ROOTS Group, Mr. K. Ramasamy, was to build a company dedicated to improving the cleanliness of India, his home country. Since then, the innovative products of the RMCL organization have allowed it to become the largest cleaning equipment manufacturer in that country.

Currently, headed by Mr R Varun Karthikeyan, Managing Director, RMCL has sold a wide variety of sweepers and allied products to more than 35,000 customers in 34 countries around the world including, with the 2017 purchase of the specified assets and technical know how for manufacture of Parking lot and Street sweepers. In United States of America by its subsidiary ROOTS MULTICLEAN, Inc.(RMC Inc.).

RMCL has been a leader in a variety of areas in its home India. These include being the first Indian cleaning equipment manufacturer to become ISO 9000 and 14001 compliant. The company’s current cleaning-related product line is one of the widest in the world, ranging from small, walk-behind and ride-on sweepers and scrubbers to massive chassis-mounted parking area, street and airport runway sweepers.

At RMCL, quality is a way of company life, from raw materials to finished products. RMCL custom design its assembly and sub-assembly lines to achieve maximum quality and efficiency throughout its product lines. Absolutely every product developed and manufactured by the company undergoes stringent tests at all stages of production. As a result, the products require less service and fewer replacement parts over their usable lifetimes.

RMCL is proud to have had its commitment to excellence recognized through receiving six coveted awards since 2011 from the Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC), sponsored by the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry. That includes being chosen once again in 2019 by an organization that includes over 12,000 members.

RMCL brought its track record of engineering and product excellence to the American marketplace in 2017 with the specified asset purchase. RMC Inc. commenced it's VICTORY SWEEPERS division in Huntsville, Alabama and has the financial strength and international engineering and other expertise provided by RMCL’s award-winning team, combined with the many decades of leadership history of the Victory Sweeper's employee group.
